Government College, Bherian (Pehowa) is a co-educational Degree College. It was established in April 2013 on the land and building donated by the Gram Panchayat, Bherian. The purpose of setting up of this college in this rural area was to bring the students of this educationally backward area to the main stream by providing higher education to its youth, especially the girls. The College is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. The first academic session of the college started in July 2013 with two streams, namely Arts and Commerce; the Science stream (B.Sc. Non-Medical) was introduced in this college in July 2014. The College has also started PG in English from the academic session 2024-25.
The College is spread over 8 acres of land, and campus consists of well ventilated classrooms, modern laboratories, air conditioned library, offices, etc. At present 785 students are enrolled in B.A., B.Com, B.Sc. (N/M) and M.A. (English) courses. The faculty of the College consists of 26 highly qualified, well-experienced and dedicated teachers
