Anti Sexual Harassment/ICC

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Government College Bherian, Pehowa, actively conducted various meetings and activities during the academic session 2024–2025 to

promote awareness regarding girls’ safety, a safe and healthy environment, legal awareness and self-safety measures. The details are as follows:

1. The first ICC meeting was held on 24th September 2024 with the agenda:

a. Organizing a Documentary Activity focused on Girls’ Safety.

b. Further measures for maintaining a Safe Environment for female students.

2. The ICC organized its first meeting on 9th October 2024. The following points were

discussed:

a.       Planning of an Awareness Program to educate students about their rights and safety measures.

b.      Discussions on creating a safe and supportive environment for girls within the college campus.

3.  An Awareness Program was successfully conducted on 16th October 2024. The session

focused on educating girls about their rights, safety measures, and support mechanisms

available through the ICC.

4.  A Documentary Screening on Self-Safety was organized on 9th November 2024. The

objective was to spread awareness among students about how to protect themselves and handle adverse situations.

5.  A Seminar on Cyber Crime and Legal Awareness was conducted on 21st November 2024.

a. Mr. Shubham Jain, Advocate, District Court Sonipat was invited as a speaker.

b. Ms. Sonia Aggrawal, Hon’ble Vice Chairperson, Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) was invited as Chief Guest. The seminar enlightened students about cyber safety, legal provisions related to women’s safety, and ways to seek help.

6.  A Two-Day Health Camp was organized from 4th March to 5th March 2025. A Health Camp was conducted by the committee in which Dr. Srishti K. Sehgal, BDS, Oro Dental Surgeon, MIDA. All students, teaching, and non-teaching staff actively participated and benefitted from free health check-ups and consultations.
